Why should you fix your pet?

Pets that are fixed have a lower risk of getting some forms of  cancer and uterine infections (Pyometra).  Female dogs that are fixed will not go into heat, which male dogs can smell up to 2 miles away when in heat.  Male dogs that are fixed are less likely to roam and find female dogs when they are in heat. Neutered male cats and dogs are less likely to mark their territory with their urine.

  • Prevent pet overpopulation and euthanasia of unwanted pets.

When to fix your Pet

Kittens can be fixed as early as 2 mo old or 2 lbs.  They can start reproducing at 4 mo of age

Dogs can be fixed at 8 weeks of age or 4 lbs.  They can start reproducing at 6 mo of age or when they hit the first heat cycle.
